Chapter 20 & 21 In Jeremiah 20:4-6, Babylon is a distant threat, but after enduring imprisonment and public humiliation (Jeremiah 20:14-18), Jeremiah curses the day he was born. What does this reveal about his emotional and spiritual state? Despite his despair in Chapters 20 & 21, Jeremiah clings to God’s justice. How does this sustain him, and how can we apply this to our own struggles? In Jeremiah 21:4, Babylon is no longer a distant threat—it is at Judah’s gates. How does this shift from warning to judgment deepen our understanding of God’s timing?
Chapter 23 & 24 Jeremiah 23:5-6 prophesies the "Righteous Branch" who will reign with justice. How does this connect to salvation through Christ? Jeremiah 24:4-7 offers another message of hope. How does it compare to Jeremiah 23:1-8, and what do these promises signify for Judah and us today?Do you think all of this caused Jeremiah to become discouraged? What do you think he was expressing in these words?
